The Origin Outdoors water filter is very powerful and can filter up to 100,000 litres with its ultra-light weight of only 58g. This makes the Origin Outdoors water filter ideally suited for drinking directly from rivers, lakes or other freshwater sources while hiking or camping. The hollow fibre membrane of the water filter removes >99.9999% bacteria (E. coli), 99.9% parasites and protozoa (Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium).

The Origin Outdoors water filter is cleaned using an ordinary drinking bottle, by flushing it in reverse (backflushing). It has a transparent control window and a monthly use indicator to indicate the start of use.
