The Silky Gomboy Outback Edition is the outdoor edition of the regular Silky Gomboy saws. That is, it is specially designed for hunters and bushcrafters. Thus, this Japanese saw is ideal for cutting through wood and bone. HIj is lightweight and has a compact size. This makes it easy to take this saw everywhere!

So what is the difference between this saw and the regular Silky Gomboy? Silky has made the blade of this Gomboy Curve Outback Edition thicker and stiffer, making it 100% outdoor proof. A black coating of a nickel/tin mix has also been applied to the saw blade and teeth. This extends the life of the saw blade and delivers great cutting performance. Moreover, the colour of the saw blade is dark and non-reflective, making you less visible in the dark. Very handy when hunting.

Silky saw blade

The curved saw blade of the Silky Gomboy Curve Outback Edition is easy to handle and holds the saw firmly in the cut. You use the lock button to easily fold the saw blade in and out. Also use this knob to adjust the saw to two different cutting positions. The Silky Gomboy Curve Outback Edition comes with a transparent hard case as standard.

The handle

The handle of this saw is made of a wood/composite compound called 'Arbor Composite'. This material provides a comfortable grip and superior control. The handle is a little harder than Silky's usual GOM rubber grip, but offers more grip with greasy substances.
