In this Survival / Bushcraft weekend you will learn skills to be able to venture into nature without supervision. The programme is designed to enable you to be self-reliant in the great outdoors. Many people venture into nature without sufficient knowledge. This not only makes for a less pleasant experience, but can also lead to dangerous situations.

After following the Survival/Bushcraft course, you will be able to provide for your basic needs: warmth, shelter, food and water. As long as you know how to arrange these things, it won't matter where you are, and you will be able to protect yourself from unpleasant situations at all times. We also focus on making this experience as pleasant as possible.

The programme includes:

• making a fire in primitive fashion
• working with knives and saws
• making primitive shelters
• sleeping outside (without a tent), how and what
• various cooking techniques on a campfire
• basic map and compass
• woodcarving and spatula cutting
• sharpening your knife

*Note: If there is an increased risk of wildfires, we will not be allowed to light a fire in the Veluwe. In that case, we will instead cover axe use and water purification.

Who is this survival/bushcraft course for?

• For anyone aged 18 or over in reasonable physical condition (14-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent).

This Survival/Bushcraft course does not include:

• Transport to/from the course location
• Your own sleeping system (a complete sleeping system can also be rented for 30 euros)**
• Basic camping gear
